The main applications of the thickness gauge are:
- measurement of galvanic coatings and paint coatings on steel bases – the range of coating thickness measurement will be from 0 to 500 μm, measurement of paint, polymer (and any other dielectric) coatings on steel bases with a thickness of more than 0.5 mm;
- measurement of coatings on non-ferrous metals – the NF-2 sensor is used, which allows measuring the coating on non-ferrous metals in the range from 0 to 2 mm (2000 µm);
- very thick coatings on any metals (non-ferrous and black) – M12, M30 and M60 sensors are used, which provide measurement ranges up to 12, 30 and 60 mm;
- measuring roughness – a DSH sensor is used, which allows you to measure and evaluate roughness and measure the depth of corrosion, surface defects and grooves.
